Next week is Spring Break and staff is out of the office until Mon. March 30. The main office telephone lines and staff email addresses will not be monitored during this time.
Note the upcoming events and messages for the return of school, for the week of March 30-April 2. Fri., April 3 is Good Friday and there is no school.
We wish everyone a restful week, and enjoyment of the lovely spring weather.
Learning Conferences and Beyond
We appreciated the many valuable conversations with families over the last two days, through the Learning Conferences. Our learning intentions for the last three months of the school year are strong, and we will work together to support the social, emotional and academic development of our Wolves with great commitment.
Parents can support continued learning through:
- Hosting daily conversations about topics covered in class
- Viewing D2L resources and assessment results in Power School
- Promoting the habit of daily reading, review of English or French vocabulary, and regular Math practice
More information about year end assessment will be shared with families in April.
Band Camp Mandatory Parent Meeting, Wed. April 1, 6:00 PM
The annual Band Camp in Caroline, Alberta, is a highlight for more than 150 Gr. 7-9 students. It will take place on April 22-24. During this time, students will be surrounded by the beauty of the surrounding area, taken care of by a solid team of teachers and parent volunteers, and in the company of expert musicians and clinicians. Thank you to the Woodman Music Parents’ Association for their financial support to ensure that all students can participate in the experience. Given the significant responsibility of caring for this large number of students on an overnight excursion, we ask that one legal guardian of each participating student attend the meeting. The school has a requirement to inform you of our plans, communication while on the trip, dietary/medical questions, and expected student behaviours.
