If your school plans have changed and you will be attending school elsewhere, please email woodman@cbe.ab.ca. The main office will re-open on Wednesday, August 26, at which time we will process any registration changes. Communicating your emerging plans with the school helps us anticipate our student enrollment trends.

Late French Immersion Grade 7 - A Few Spots Left!

We have a healthy number of students registered for the Late French Immersion Grade 7 program in September, in what is one of the most unique and linguistically accelerated language programs in the Calgary Board of Education. There are a few spots left for any families interested in having their Grade 7 child take on the challenge of learning French. Learn more at our Late French Immersion page.

CBE Transportation Routes - August

Eligible families who did not register for CBE Transportation by the June 14 deadline may still register through their MyCBE account. However, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for late registrations may be delayed. Confirmed routes will be posted in MyCBE by August.

First Day of School - Monday, August 31

Important details about the first day of school will be communicated during the last week of August. General school information includes:

• School doors open to students at 9:00 AM
• Entry bell at 9:10 AM, start time at 9:15 AM
• School end times are 3:45 PM Monday through Thursday, and 1:14 PM on Fridays
• Lunch is from 12:35 - 1:15 PM, Monday through Thursday
• Grade 5-6 students eat in their classroom, monitored by lunchroom supervisors, followed by outdoor play
• Grades 7-9 is an open campus, and students may leave the school over the lunch hour
• Students will learn their schedule and teachers on the first day of school, as staffing changes are ongoing throughout the summer

Suggested Student Supply Lists

Suggested, optional student supply lists in preparation for the return to classes can be found on the school website at: https://woodman.cbe.ab.ca/back-to-school

It is not required that students come to school on the first day with these items. Families are encouraged to recycle materials from previous years. Those who are unable to bring their own suggested supplies will be provided them by the school. Please ensure that personal supplies are well labelled with the student's name and grade. Students will be provided with a school-issued lock for both their regular and PE locker. No personal locks are permitted.

Wolves Online Clothing Store

An online clothing store through One Team Apparel will be open for a limited time at the end of August. Families will have the opportunity to purchase stylish and school-spirited apparel, including our official Physical Education gym strip. Keep an eye out for the link, which will be shared during the last week of August. We strongly encourage all Woodman students to purchase and wear their school gym strip on a daily basis. 2026-2027 School Calendar

The approved Woodman calendar for the upcoming school year is attached. We request your care if you need to plan school absences. Regular school attendance is vital, particularly when students are learning another language such as French and English.
